I'm already doing the Android Tablet thing and I'm not mobile/on the go. I'm either at home or work and I don't travel much so I don't see a time when I'm not able to use my PS3.

I am in the same boat, if I am at home I will play on my PS3 and if I am travelling my iPhone and IPad have enough to keep me amused. It likely wouldn't get enough use to justify the cost of the systerm (not even considering the cost of the games -- does anyone know how much they will be?)

Yup, I want to play Uncharted Golden Abyss, and a couple other games. I don't know if it will be a day one launch purchase, but I will get one.
If you must choose between two evils, pick the one you haven't tried before.

It looks like a sweet machine. I tend to fiddle with my ipod during commercials but the battery drains quickly when playing games. I'm waiting to see what kind of bundles they are offering on the wireless-only vitas before ordering one.
If pro is opposite of con, then what is the opposite of progress?

I'm probably not going to buy it, I don't get out much and when I'm at home I usually play on my PC or PS3, I'm sure I can spend the $250 on something that I would actually use.

Definitely buying one.
Not sure about day one, as I'll be on vacation on launch day, but as soon as my funds are replenished I'll pick one up.

I don't think so. As mentioned, the latest crop of smart phones and tablets have made great strides in making the idea of a dedicated portable games device obsolete. Joysticks are great, sure, but great enough to sell a 250 dollar portable? Not for me.

Personally I hate playing games on my phone. I don't like the touch screen Congolese for the more involved games. Its okay for things like Bejeweled but I want something more robust gameolay.

Yeah, I hate playing traditional Console like games on my Android/iOS devices. The super casual games work fine on those devices, but anything beyond that needs a real controller & buttons IMO. If DICE were to put out a Battlefield game to the VITA I would have to consider it.
