IGN Samsung Galaxy S4 Review

17 May 2013

Posted by SMB25 in Gaming Feeds

If the HTC One was a glimpse of Android's promising future of thoughtfully crafted hardware paired with elegantly designed software, the Samsung Galaxy S4 represents its poorly conceived and shoddily constructed past. Like countless Android handsets before it, the Galaxy S4 is spec and feature-rich, but limited by its cheap, flimsy hardware and unnecessarily bloated suite of proprietary software. May 21 may be the reveal of the next Xbox, allegedly named Xbox Infinity, but "E3, if you're a gamer, it's going to be tons of exclusives, world premieres," said Microsoft's Aaron Greenberg. The San Diego studio -- where development of MMO Defiance took place -- is said to have been hit the hardest. A source suggests that employees are being escorted out of the building and that senior leaders from various Trion teams may not receive severance due to "undelivered services."  (Update: A Trion representative calls both of these claims "100% false.") Another source tells us the layoffs were at all studios, "mostly Defiance support staff and dev staff" and that "team members and team leads for teams responsible for multiple projects, not just Defiance specific, have been laid off." In other words, "teams that provide game generic responsibilities and services have been let go."
