Two WipEout 2048 DLC Packs on PSN Today

PS Vita owners, get those engines ready: WipEout HD and Fury expansion packs are set to hit PS Vita today. Also launching today is the “WipEout 2048 WipEout HD Fury Add-On Pack” for $7.99, which includes the full single-player WipEout HD Fury campaign mode with all 12 tracks (including four reverse tracks and four Zone Mode tracks), 24 ships to choose from, and a Zone Mode Ship. The HD Fury Add-On pack also gives you access to another 12 crossplay tracks, granting you a ton of options when racing against your friends online.

Another point to note - if you already own Wipeoute HD and Fury, then the Vita DLC is free according to the replies in the blog:

The Vita dlc equivalent is free if you have the PS3 version of that DLC. So since you mentioned you have Wipeout HD and the Fury add-on on PS3, you can download both WipEout 2048 dlc packs for free. Hope that helps clear it up.

So if I own wipeout HD and the Fury add-on. I get the Vita versions of it for free ?

Too bad i don't have a Vita, however, this alone aint gonna make me run out and get one. They've got a long way to go to pull in fans to purchase a Vita (sales reflect). No offense to you that have one and are enjoying it. I'm still struggling to find the value in a handheld, Wipeout HD might bring me closer, but it definitely won't take me all the way.

For me the Vita is a life saver. That's mainly because I work strictly on set now and often have hours to kill waiting to be called in. Vita is light, portable there are GREAT games on it, and the visuals and gameplay are incredible on it. If you have no opportunity or desire to game on the go then there's no reason for a handheld. If you do the Vita is the system to get hands down.
